Cerebellar cortex: computation by extrasynaptic inhibition?

Abstract - In the cerebellar cortex, inhibitory inputs to granule cells exhibit prominent tonic and spillover components resulting from the activation of extrasynaptic receptors. A recent study shows how extrasynaptic inhibition affects information flow through cerebellar cortex.
