Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce a workshop on “New Directions in Motor Control", which will take place at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) on May 18-19, 2017. Speakers will discuss their work exploring how the nervous system controls complex behaviors, with emphasis on how the brain employs sensory information to guide motor action and how patterns of motor activity are organized in space and time. The workshop will include both formal presentations and small-group tutorials on advanced methods for analyzing neural and behavioral data. It will emphasize the importance of collaborative interactions between neurophysiologists on the one hand and theorists and modelers on the other.
