Tenure-Track Position in Vertebrate Neurophysiology

The Neuroscience Program in the Department of Biological Sciences at Ohio University invites applications for a full time tenure-track position in Vertebrate Neurophysiology.  Candidates should have expertise in vertebrate electrophysiology, broadly defined, and interests in computational modeling approaches to enable interaction with faculty in Ohio University's interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology Institute (QBI). Candidates who combine electrophysiology and modeling approaches are especially encouraged to apply.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD or equivalent degree, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research.  The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent and vibrant extramurally funded research program, participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including those in the Honors Tutorial College Neuroscience major.  Primary teaching responsibilities include an upper level/graduate course in Human Neuroscience and a non-majors functional anatomy course, which covers the musculoskeletal system and its control by the nervous system.
