[Comp-neuro] Postdoctoral position available in Dept. of BME at Columbia University

[Qi Wang]

     A one/-/year (with the possibility of one additional year) 
postdoctoral fellow position will be available in the laboratory of Dr. 
Qi Wang in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Columbia 
University in April 2013 to investigate neural coding in the 
somatosensory pathway.

     The lab focuses on neural coding and brain-machine interfaces. The 
successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in the area of 
Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline. 
Applicants with demonstrated expertise in chronic electrophysiological 
recording from awake, behaving rodents, acute electrophysiology, and 
behavioral training of rodents will be given priority. The successful 
candidate will demonstrate that he/she is innovative and capable of 
working independently. Strong oral and written communication and 
interpersonal skills are critical.
