[Comp-neuro] postdoctoral position available at University of Pennsylvania

University of Pennsylvania, Department of Otorhinolaryngology and  

Postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Laboratory of  
Auditory Coding at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine  
to study the neural mechanisms of encoding of complex sounds in the  
auditory cortex of awake rodents.  We invite applications from  
talented and motivated candidates with (or expecting) a Ph.D. in life  
sciences. The techniques include multi-neuronal and single-cell  
electrophysiological recordings, neuronal imaging and optogenetics in  
awake behaving rodents. Experience in either electrophysiology,

Our laboratory is part of the Hearing Sciences Center at the  
Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Department of Neuroscience and  
the Mahoney Institute of Neurological Sciences. University of  
Pennsylvania has a very active and diverse neuroscience community, and  
there will be ample opportunity for collaboration both within the  
groups and with faculty in biology, physics and engineering. The
