Postdoctoral Position: Recreating Vision and Visual Brains

 The laboratory of Zhiyong Yang at the Brain and Behavior Discovery Institute atthe Georgia Health Sciences University (GHSU) has an immediate opening for apostdoctoral researcher. Current projects include: 1) To build large datasets ofimages and videos of natural objects, activities, events, and scenes that includeinformation about distance, luminance, spectra, disparity, movement, and humangaze using the best available digital imaging technology; 2) To developcomputational models of major aspects of natural vision that have  near human-level performance; and 3) To develop models of visual neurons, corticaldynamics, and cortical collections and organizations. The ideal candidate shouldhave thorough knowledge in computer vision and machine learning and strongprogramming skills and should be available to do statistical modeling of largedatasets of natural objects, activities, events, and scenes. Some knowledge inneurobiology of vision and visual perception is helpful.
