We are seeking a research associate to spear-head a collaborative
industry-public project on computational modeling of dopaminergic
circuitry and modulation of dopamine signaling by nicotinic
The project will build on a developed modeling approach in order to
validate models shaping the effects of nicotine and other
prototypical nicotinic ligands on dopamine signaling, and to use
combined pharmacodynamic/neural-circuit models in order to develop in
computo assays of potential therapeutic compounds (e.g. for nicotine
replacement, Parkinsons’, etc). The project is based at the Group for
Neural Theory, Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris, France
(www.gnt.ens.fr) and involves interacting with the industrial partner
in USA as well as with experimental collaborators at Wake Forest
Candidate should have an advanced degree in neuroscience,
neuropharmacology and experience with computational modeling or a
quantitative discipline and willing to learn the biology involved.
The position is available immediately with a 1 year contract in the
Competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience as well
as full social and health coverage is available.
For further information please contact: Boris Gutkin bors.gutkin at ens.fr
Candidates should send a CV, a letter of motivation and arrange for
