Postdoc in 3D motion perception at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

A postdoctoral position is available at UW Madison on the perception of 3D motion, in the laboratory of professor Bas Rokers. The goal is to understand the neural mechanisms underlying visual motion perception.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in some combination of visual psychophysics, neuroimaging (fMRI), and computational modeling. Programming in Matlab and OpenGL are required. Start date is flexible. The position is for one year, with the possibility of extension for another.

We use stereoscopic (3D) displays, generated using traditional mirror-stereoscopes as well as more recent active shutter glasses. An interest in these technologies and a desire to tinker with them is highly desired.

Please email a CV, a cover letter explaining your research interests, and the names of 3 references, to Bas Rokers (rokers at wisc dot edu). More information can be found at:http://glial.psych.wisc.edu/index.php/psychsplashfacstaff/276

There will be an opportunity to meet with promising candidates at the upcoming Society for Neuroscience conference in San Diego, November 13-17.

The University of Wisconsin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
