[Comp-neuro] PhD position: Theory of cognitive and complex systems

   Applications are invited for a PhD position at the
   Institute for Theoretical Physics, Frankfurt University,
   with a TV-G-U E13 salary salary (50%), equivalent
   to about 1000 Euro monthly.

   The focus of the complex and cognitive system group
   is the development of novel working principles and
   models, both for biological and synthetic cognitive

   The field of research involves the study of vertex
   routing models, a recently proposed new class of
   dynamical network models.

   The candidates should  have a Diploma/Master in
   physics or the natural sciences, cognitive sciences
   or informatics with an excellent academic track record
   and good computational skills. Experience or strong interest
   in the fields of complex systems and artificial or biological
   cognitive systems is expected. The degree of scientific
   research experience is expected to be on the level of a
   German Diploma/Master.

   The appointments will start fall 2010, for
   up to three years.
