The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the
Berlin Institute of Technology offers a

Postdoc or PhD Position

in the area of


COMPUTATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE


starting October 1st 2009. The successful candidate is expected to
study visual perception in relation to cognitive function, and
will join ongoing collaborations with experimental groups who work
with animal models as well as with human subjects using invasive
and non-invasive methods. Theoretical work may be combined with
conducting visual psychophysics and behavioural studies with
human subjects.

Candidates should hold a recent PhD-degree (Postdoc position) or
Diploma / Master degree (graduate student position) and should have
excellent mathematical and programming skills. Candidates with good
knowledge and research experience in Computational Neuroscience will
be preferred.

The position is for 5 years; salary is according to the German BAT
IIa level.
