[Comp-neuro] Second announcement Bernstein Award 2009: funding for independent junior research groups in computational neuroscience in Germany

Dear subscribers of comp-neuro,

the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research has announced a 
call for applications for the next Bernstein Award, to be awarded in 
2009. Deadline for application is *May 25, 2009.*

Since 2006, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) 
annually confers this prize to excellent junior scientists with 
outstanding research ideas in the field of Computational Neuroscience.
The 'Bernstein Award for Computational Neuroscience' consists of a grant 
of up to 1.25 Mio Euros that supports the scientific projects of a young 
research group headed by a postdoc regardless of nationality. The grant 
has a running period of 5 years. The research group needs to be located 
at a German research institution.
