The Neuromorphic Group at the Sevilla Microelectronics Institute (Spain)
offers a 4-year Studentship for PhD Research.

PhD thesis research is focused on developing microchips for emulating
biological retinas and neocortex signal processing for ultra-fast vision
applications applied to robotics and automatic car driving systems.
Research is sponsored within the new VULCANO project, which continues
the seminal work of the former CAVIAR project
(www.imse-cnm.csic.es/caviar).

Desired skills: Analog and Digital circuit design, vhdl, signal
processing, vision, control, Matlab and Cadence.

The Microelectronics Institute of Seville is a mixed institute between
the CSIC (the Spanish Research Council) and the University of Seville.
More information can be found on the website: http://www.imse-cnm.csic.es
The Institute focuses its research on Microchip Circuit Design, Test
and Applications, through mixed Analog-Digital Techniques, and
development of CAD and Test techniques.
