[Comp-neuro] Quantitative neuron modeling - special issue of Biol. Cybern.

Dear colleagues

Biological Cybernetics has launched a special issue on Quantitative 
Neuronal Modeling. The issue documents the recent developments in 
computational models of single neurons that closely match the 
input-output relationship of real neurons recorded in vitro or in vivo. 
It emerged from a workshop with the same title organized by the guest 
editorial team. The contributions range from simple integrate-and-fire 
models to detailed dendritic compartmental models. Benchmark results 
from an ongoing competition are presented in which the models are tested 
against a fixed set of experimentally measured input-output relations 
(http://lcn.epfl.ch/QuantNeuronMod/).

The access to the special issue is free until Dec 31, 2008.
