The EURASIP (European Association Association of Signal and Image
Processing) Journal of Advances in Signal Processing is soliciting
papers for a special issue on Statistical Signal Processing in
Neuroscience scheduled for publication in July 2009. This special
issue invites original contributions in either theory or algorithm
development in the area of statistical signal processing in
neuroscience. Potential topics include but are not limited to:
* Detection, estimation, and classification of neural signals
* Array processing and blind separation of neural sources
* Statistical inference and hypothesis testing in multiple neural
spike train data
* Machine-learning theory and techniques for analyzing large
scale neural ensembles
* Information-theoretic analysis of neural data
* Mixed filtering of neural signals
* Neural plasticity and adaptive filtering
* Decoding neural signals from sensory/motor areas of the brain
* Signal processing for neuroprostheses
Paper submission deadline is 1 January 2009. For detailed information,
