[Comp-neuro] Evaluation and Benchmarking of object detection and classification methods

The ROBIN project (http://robin.inrialpes.fr) aims to produce datasets,
ground truths, competitions and metrics for the evaluation of object
detection recognition algorithms, on real operational problems.

The data production by several compagnies is now finished, and the
competitions are beginning !

The entire database at the disposal of the research centers contains
more than 80 000 annotated images, divided into 6 distinct image bases.
There are satellite images, aerial images, ground level images, with
various resolutions and as well RGB images and infrared images. The
objects to detect can be of various classes : cars , planes, human
people, infrastructure elements... The complete descriptions of the
datasets and competitions, with some exemples, can be found at

The first step if you wish to participate is to register to the ROBIN
COMPETITION as a participant. To do this, each research center has to
fill the ROBIN participation contract

and send it signed in *2 specimens* to the adresse below:
