I have updated the HTML introductory lectures on computational
neuroscience and biologically realistic neural modeling that are
available for download from the GENESIS web site
(http://www.genesis-sim.org/GENESIS/) under the link "What is
biologically realistic neural modeling?".

These are derived from lecture notes for an introductory biomedical
engineering course at the University of Colorado that introduces
concepts in neuroscience and neural modeling, for upper division
undergraduate and graduate students. The lectures show example
simulations performed with the GENESIS simulator, but are general in
nature, and don't require any knowledge of GENESIS. They have been
licensed under the terms of the GNU General Documentation License, with
the hope that they may be of use to others teaching similar courses, and
that others will add to them, modify them, and share their
contributions. Please let me know of any useful additions that you
make.
